The Thought Thief
A Fantastic Journey into the World of Showmanship and Illusion
Any open questions?
For any open questions about the game or bookings, check out our FAQ section or contact us through our contact page.
What is Outdoor Escape?
Our Outdoor Escape is an augmented reality-supported puzzle game for outdoors. The group works together to solve all the puzzles using hidden clues or objects.
Where is the meeting point?
You can find the exact meeting point on your booking ticket. The game hosts can be recognized by their outstanding presence and black messenger bags. If you can’t find us, just give us a quick call. You will receive a call from us at least by the time of your booking.
Can we bring a stroller or a dog? What about a wheelchair?
Our routes lead through the most beautiful locations, primarily in the old town. We stay clear of traffic, rough terrain, and inaccessible areas. We always ensure that the routes are accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, and four-legged companions.
What do we do in case of rain?
Our events take place outdoors and are therefore dependent on the weather. This means in practice: In case of variable weather or light rain, we provide umbrellas.
However, if severe weather is forecasted, the event can be rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before it starts. After all, it’s much more fun in nice weather!
Do we need to be athletic?
No. Our events focus on community and the experience. You never have to run, and you will have time to buy a drink or go to the restroom. If you can stroll leisurely through the city for two hours, you are fit for our Outdoor Escape Room.
What do we do if we get stuck?
You can receive hints through the tablet to help you progress.
We are also available to assist you if you get completely stuck.
What does the game master do?
The game master provides you with the materials and gives a brief thematic and technical introduction. Once everything is set, you’ll start with the first puzzle together to address any technical questions, and then you continue on your own. The game master is available by phone for emergencies, and at the end of the game, you’ll meet again for a debrief and handover.
How do we choose the right puzzle?
*”The Thought Thief”* is beginner- and child-friendly (recommended for ages 8 and up), while *”Inside”* is a bit more challenging and recommended for ages 16 and up. Don’t worry: if you get stuck, there are hints available, and if necessary, you can even skip a question.
What do we need to bring?
All you need is clothing and shoes suitable for the season, allowing you to be out in the city for about two hours. The route is limited to asphalt and cobblestone streets in the old town, with no steep inclines.
Of course, you’re welcome to bring drinks or snacks along as well.
